Living in Egypt

Day 1 – REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GOOD

Read Genesis 45:1-46:7
After all Joseph went through, did he hold a grudge against his brothers?
What does God teach you through the life of Joseph?

Day 2 – PHARAOH’S ADOPTED GRANDSON

Read Exodus 1:1-2;8, 23
What has happened to the Israelites?
Is life good for them?
What happened to Moses when he was born?
Does God care about what happened to the Israelites?
Do you believe He cares about what you go through?

Day 3 – THE BUSH IS ON FIRE!

Read Exodus 3:1-4:17
How does God talk to Moses?
What does God tell Moses He is going to do?
What does God ask Moses to do? Why was Moses afraid?
Have you ever thought you couldn’t do something that God asks of you?

DIG DEEPER

Read 1 Timothy 4:12. Paul wrote this to the young man, Timothy, whom eventually passed on his entire ministry to a few years later. Moses was intimidated to speak to Pharaoh because of his speech. Timothy was afraid to tell others about Jesus because he was young. Is there any reason you are afraid to do something God has asked you to do? How can Moses’ example and Paul’s words encourage you?

Day 4 – GOD’S GOT YOUR BACK

Read Exodus 6:1-10
What does God promise to do for His people in verses 6-8?
God is still in the business of delivering people from slavery and redeeming them.
How does He do that for you?
Did you know that God, just like the Israelites, wants to call you His?

Day 5 – KERMIT’S REVENGE

Read Exodus 6:28-8:15
What are the plagues that God handed Pharaoh and the Egyptians?
Did Pharoah listen? Why not?
God can use circumstances to get our attention. Has He ever used a circumstance to get your attention? How did you respond?
