True Friendship = Brotherhood – Staff

Philippians 1: 3 & 4

“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all.”

Why is it so important to pray regularly and often for your friends if you want true brotherhood to develop?

It is critical to pray regularly for your friends because development in friendship will deepen through prayer. By interceding in prayer for a friend, the friendship will grow in Christ, having a solid foundation.

2 Timothy 2:2

“The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”

For this verse, ask the Kampers: What do we entrust to faithful men? The answer is the Gospel of Christ: that we are sinners separated from God, that Christ died so that we do not need to be separated, and that we can have a relationship with Christ if we confess that we are sinners and believe that Christ was risen from the dead.
