The Word

Proverbs 24:3

“By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established.”

Q: Describe how personally reliant you are on God’s Word for guiding your daily decisions.

Psalms 119:1-4, 119:151

“How blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord. How blessed are those who observe His testimonies, who seek Him with all their heart. They also do no unrighteousness; they walk in His ways. You have ordained Your precepts, that we should keep them diligently.”

“You are near, O Lord, and all Your commandments are truth.”

Q: If the only wealth you ever possessed was the amount of Scripture you read daily, memorize in your heart and live by consistently, how full would your bank account be? What makes Scripture important to you?

John 15:5

“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”

Paul

2 Timothy 3:15-17

“…and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”

Q: What does “inspired by God” mean as Paul describes the words of Scripture?

Peter

1 Peter 2:1-2
