Day 1- THE PASSOVER LAMB

Read Exodus 11, 12:1-13, 23-30
What were the Israelites supposed to do?
What was God protecting them from? How would they be saved?
What did they have to put over their doorposts?

Day 2- THE TRUE LAMB

Read Matthew 26:28; Hebrews 9:22; Ephesians 1:7
What saves us? How does Jesus’ blood save us?
Read John 1:29. What does John the Baptist call Jesus?
Why does John the Baptist call Jesus the Lamb of God?
The Passover was commanded by God to be celebrated at the same time every year when Passover in Egypt happened. The Jews did this, even when they were a conquered people. Jesus’ blood was shed on the actual day of the Passover celebration.

DIG DEEPER

The women involved in Jesus’ lineage have some pretty crazy stories. Some of them were Jewish, some were not. Even Jesus’ lineage shows that He was going to include people who were not Jews in His kingdom! If you want to read more about some of these women, here is where you can dig deeper.

Day 5- LINEAGE OF JESUS

Re-read Matthew 1 and finish your lineage chart from David to Jesus.
How many generations did God keep the lineage of Jesus safe?
Do you trust God can do anything? Do you trust God is in control of your salvation?
The Messiah had to have a very distinct bloodline and lineage… Jesus was the only one who could fit the description.
