Matthew 27:29 & 30

“And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” 30 They spat on Him, and took the reed and began to beat Him on the head.”

Mark 15:19

“They kept beating His head with a reed, and spitting on Him, and kneeling and bowing before Him.”

It has been said that Jesus wore the crown of thorns so that we could wear the crown of life. How does that speak to you today?

“Personal Answer” (Jesus gave everything so we could have everything.  This is the ultimate example of sacrifice and humility; the Creator of the universe becomes His creation and puts a crown of thorns into His head, so we can have a crown of life on ours).
