Jeremiah was one of many prophets that God used in the Bible. This passage you read is a great definition of what a prophet does. Who puts the prophets’ words in his mouth?
Was Jeremiah afraid? How did the Lord encourage him?

This verse was written hundred of years before Jesus was born. What did the prophet say about Jesus?
Read Matthew 1:18-25. Did it happen as God said through Isaiah?

This verse, spoken hundred of years before Jesus was born, is about Jesus. Write down how Jesus is described in these verses.

Read Daniel 3
What would Shadrach, Meschach, and Abed-nego not do?
What happened to them?
What can you learn from their faith?
Because Shadrach, Meschach, and Abed-nego did not bow to the statue, it caused others to see God. What idols can you refuse to bow to so that others will see God?

You read Isaiah 42:1-4 this week where it says that God put His Spirit upon Jesus. Did you know that Jesus had an earthly mother and no earthly father? Joseph treated Jesus like He was his son, but Joseph was not Jesus’ real dad. Jesus was conceived in His mom’s womb by the Holy Spirit. When Jesus was an adult, He showed up to be baptized. Look what came down and rested upon him in Matthew 3:16. What God, through Isaiah, said hundreds of years earlier came true in Jesus!
