Some Wise Words So Listen Up

Day 1 – WHERE YOU TRUST

Read Proverbs 3:1-7
Write down what you learn from this Proverb. Who are we to trust according to verse 6?
What are we supposed to lean on? How can you apply this to your life?

Day 2 – MORE THAN A PET PEEVE

Read Proverbs 6:16-19
What are the things that the Lord hates? Have you done any of these things?
What are some ways that you can avoid these? Always remember that God wants to help you.

Day 3 – HOLD YOUR TONGUE

Read Proverbs 21:23
What do you think it means to guard your tongue? How can you apply it to your life?

DIG DEEPER

Read Romans 1 and you will see how sin and evil gets its start. The Lord hates everything that damages. Sin damages you, the world, and everyone else.

An easy way to hold your tongue from speaking bad about others is to spend the day looking for something to do to serve another person.
Get your serve on and watch for how you can help another person today.
If you are focused on helping them, you might forget the hurtful words that come out of your mouth. Philippians 2:1-4 

Day 4 – YOU BE TRIPPIN’

What does this proverb say will make you stumble? Are you prideful about anything right now that is keeping you from seeking out or obeying the Lord?

Day 5 – SAFETY ZONE

Read Proverbs 18:10
How is the Lord described?
A refuge is a place of protection. How can the Lord be a refuge for you?

CHALLENGE:

There are 31 proverbs and 30-31 days in each month. Read 1 proverb per day, and you can work through proverbs in 1 month or read through it 12 times in one year.
