It’s time for you to discover that what God wants for you and what the world wants for you are two very different things. God will ask you to do one thing, and the world will ask you to do something completely opposite. Both will impact your life. Confidence or Culture? This question will define the theme of this Bible study. You get to decide what you choose.
Did you think this book was about purity? You are right… it is a book about purity…with a little different perspective. This book is not a book full of only what you should and shouldn’t do. Christians sometimes get it backwards by starting with a list of “do’s and don’ts” without first understanding God’s character and why He asks you to do those things. God does tell you what “to do” to be pure, but why would you want to obey Him if you have no confidence in Him? In this study, you are going to first be encouraged to grow your confidence in God. Then, you will learn what He wants you to do.

God has done a lot of work to prove that He is worthy of your confidence. He is who He is, He never changes, and everything He says and does benefits you for good. Your confidence in Him will give you the ability to stand strong and be who God created you to be while living in the always-changing culture of the world. For nine months, you will learn about who He is, what He wants, why He wants it, and what He asks you to do in order to live a life of purity.

Confidence or culture? … that is the question.
