Acts 1:8

“…but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.’”

Read Acts 1:8 and 2 Peter 1:3-4 again. What does the power of the Holy Spirit enable you to do pertaining to living a life of godliness?

Enables us to be witnesses and ambassadors of the Great Commission.  The Holy Spirit empowers us to be able to partake in the divine nature as well.

(Verses 5-11) Define each of these terms, and describe how you can apply each character quality to your life.

A. Diligence in your faith:

Faithful in your commitment to the Word and Prayer.

B. Moral excellence:

Fleeing sin and being repentant.

C. Knowledge:

Scripture understanding.

D. Self-control:

Knowing your blind spots and not exposing yourself.

E. Perseverance:

Follow through in your commitments

F. Godliness:

Pursuing Holiness and becoming more like Christ.

G. Brotherly kindness:

Being a servant and creating unity amongst your brothers.

H. Love:

1 Corinthians 13
