Psalm 37:4

“Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart.” 

How does “delighting yourself in the Lord” cause you to become more intimate with Jesus?

As we delight ourselves in the Lord we become interested in what He is interested in.  We study the Word, pray, share our faith, and get plugged into a church body, become students of the ways of the Lord, and our intimacy with God grows.  As our intimacy with God grows the desires of our heart become in line with God’s desires.

2 Timothy 1:7

“For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.” 

What role does the Holy Spirit play in your life today to give you the “power and discipline” to accomplish your dreams?
