Confidence or Culture?

Day 1- DEFINE IT

Confidence: (n) the feeling of being certain that something will happen or that something is true.
Use this space to make a list of all things you are confident are true.

Day 2- YOU CAN TRUST GOD

To have confidence, you must have trust. Do you realize that you make daily decisions based on trust? For example, if you play a sport, should you listen to your coach’s advice or a fan in the stands? You should listen to your coach because you trust his strategy to win the game and he knows how your abilities fit within the game plan. You can trust God because He cares for you and wants you to succeed.  God has a plan for you. He planned it before you were born. He literally made every detail of you, inside and out, for His plan. Read Jeremiah 29:11 and memorize it.
What does God promise He has for you?
Do you have confidence that God has good things planned for you? Why or why not?

The Bible tells you in Matthew 10:30, that God knows the number of hairs on your head. In Psalm 139, He says that He knows when you sit and when you rise. That is how well He knows you. Now ask the person on earth who knows you best to see if they know how many hairs are on your head. Do you have confidence God knows you the best?

Day 3- NOTHING COMPARES TO GOD

God wants you to know that you can have absolute confidence that there is no one like Him. Write down how these verses describe God.
Read Psalm 24:1. What belongs to God? Can you trust God when you need something?
Read Isaiah 55:9. How can you trust God with the way He does things?
Read 1 Corinthians 1:25. Describe God’s wisdom compared to man’s.
Can you trust God for any wisdom you need?
Read Colossians 2:13-14. How did God help you cancel the debt you owed Him?

Day 4- REASONS TO BE CONFIDENT IN GOD

Today, you are going to do a little Bible surfing. Read these verses and write down a few words of what God has done for you. Here is an example:
2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Because of Jesus, my old self is gone, and I am brand new.”
Romans 6:23 –
John 3:16 –
John 1:12 –
2 Corinthians 5:21 –
1 John 5:4 –
Ephesians 2:8-9 –
Romans 5:8 –
Do you have confidence that God wants you to succeed and not perish? Why or why not?

Do you have confidence that God wants nothing but good for you? Why or why not?

Day 5- I AM CONFIDENT…

Look back at what you learned this week. Make a list of how you have confidence in God.
For example: “I am confident… that God has a plan for me.”
